Gender

I’m only too aware that if you’re trans or a gender minority and living in the UK life is being made increasingly difficult. Trans+ rights are under attack and trans healthcare is becoming less and less accessible. I can help you explore the impact of this, and find ways to build your resilience and connect with the community to find support and solidarity.

It’s crucial that you have a safe space to explore your gender identity and expression. I am accepting of all genders and have worked with trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming clients over many years. I identify as trans non-binary and am proudly out. A safe and cherishing counselling relationship can be a place to experiment and explore your relationship to your gender, and how you navigate that in a world that does not usually allow space for gender variance or fluidity.

The I in LGBTQIA+
I recognise that intersex people have often been profoundly let down — by medical systems, and by a lack of visibility even within queer communities. If you're intersex, I want you to know that this is a space where your identity and your history are acknowledged and respected. I also understand that coming to therapy may not be a straightforward decision, and I'm here to go at whatever pace feels right for you.
